Primus Design Services (PDS) is proud to announce the latest full-time addition to its team! Robert Lane has signed on to serve as a full-time mechanical designer. He will work closely with Tim Taylor, the head of PDS’s mechanical division, to provide in-house mechanical engineering services.
Robert first joined Primus over the summer as an intern. His contribution proved to be vital. He has worked on several large projects since joining PDS including Mountaire Lumber Bridge, United States Cold Storage Warsaw, Kroger Forest Park, Tyson Vienna, the Sterigenics projects and Lineage Allentown.
Robert has an interesting connection to Primus. His father, Bob Lane, worked at the firm until he passed away. Bob was such a valued member of the team that Primus CEO Rich O’Connell, Executive Vice President Erik Gunderson and PDS President Michael Jones wanted to do what they could to help his family. They chose to provide for Robert’s education.
Several years later, Primus was an exhibitor at a career fair at Southern Polytechnic State University. Robert was completing his undergraduate studies there and attended the show. He was gracious enough to approach the Primus booth and thank the team for Primus’s contribution to his education. Our human resources team took a look at his resume, brought him in for an interview, and the rest is history!
Michael Jones is thrilled to have Robert on board full time. “Robert is our first legacy,” he said, “It’s a privilege to have another Lane on our team. We’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds for him.”
