Wayne Farms again hires Primus for Decatur, AL project
Atlanta, Georgia—Wayne Farms, the sixth largest vertically integrated poultry producer in the United States, has once again chosen Atlanta-based Primus Builders to head a project at their Decatur, Alabama, production and distribution facility.
The Decatur facility is Wayne Farms’ only location that boasts capabilities for both fresh and further poultry processing. Due to consolidation needs, the company must centralize its production laboratory. Wayne Farms enlisted Primus for renovation and relocation. This product development lab is a test kitchen which involves many types of process equipment, including marinators, slicers and tumblers.
“Primus is honored to partner once again with Wayne Farms,” said Erik Gunderson, Executive Vice President of Primus Builders. “We are up to the challenge of closely coordinating our construction schedule so that there is no disruption to Wayne Farms’ production operation. We look forward to another successful project completion in Decatur.”
The new production laboratory should be completed by late Summer 2010. |
