Carolina Cold Storage
TAR HEEL, NC Carolina Cold Storage is managed by Richmond Cold Storage, which is an IARW North American “Top 20” public refrigerated warehouse and distribution company. Primus Builders was selected to plan, design and construct this 115,000 SF cold storage Expansion in Tar Heel, NC.
The facility includes a -10° Freezer, 10 Blast Cells and a 35° Dock. It is located on the site of the Smithfield Pork Processing plant.
The expansion entailed putting in an Ammonia Refrigeration System with a new engine room.
