It’s always a thrill to break ground on a new project. Primus recently had the opportunity to do that with Saxum Real Estate in Burleson, TX.

Saxum is a vertically integrated investment and development firm. Their portfolio includes over 2,600,000 SF of ground-up cold storage development. Their development pipeline totals over $700 million in project capitalization across multifamily, student housing, cold storage and industrial asset classes.

The project in Burleson features two buildings totaling over 427,000 SF of Class A convertible cold storage space with temperatures ranging from -10° to 40°. Saxum intends to capitalize on the growing Dallas-Fort Worth market, the fifth largest industrial market in the U.S.

Primus President Matt Hirsch served as Master of Ceremonies. Speakers included the City of Burleson fire marshal, economic development director and the mayor pro tem. Brian Lynch from GCCA said a few words, as did Anthony Rinaldi, Saxum’s founder and managing principal, and Chris Hughes, president and CEO of Arcadia Cold Storage & Logistics. Arcadia is the tenant for one of the two buildings.

“It was a great event,” said Vice President of Marketing Rebecca Elliott. “We’re looking forward to doing it again soon.”

Upcoming projects for Saxum include Jacksonville, Florida and Ridgeville, SC.
