Primus Repeats Its Christmas Giving Success!

Team.Girl.Gifts

Last year’s toy collection for the Cherokee County Department of Family and Children Services was such a success, Primus’s human resources and accounting teams organized another opportunity to make Christmas morning a little brighter for some local families.

Accounts Payable Manager Gwen Dean spearheaded the effort. First up: fulfilling the Christmas wishes of a local foster family with three girls. Gwen got the word out, and the gifts and monetary donations poured in!

“It’s a team effort, for sure,” she said as she, Kate Gunderson, Christine Rivers, Jennifer Carlsen, Amanda Schuster, Samantha Bossman, Ashley Morrison and Chelsea Robinson decorated the Secret Santa Wish Wall, shopped, then tracked and organized the gifts.

The collection was so successful, Primus took on two more children. More gifts and more donations landed in the accounting office. In the end, Primus raised $2,260 and dozens of gifts. There was enough, in fact, to help seven children!

“Overwhelmed is an understatement,” said Gwen. “There are not enough words to thank the Primus family.”

The gifts were delivered today. What a great way to celebrate the season!

Merry Christmas!
