PFG

Performance Food Group (PFG) delivers food and food-related products to more than 130,000 outlets across the United States. An increase in demand at its New Windsor, Maryland facility required the firm to expand the existing building. PFG selected Primus Builders to provide design-build services on this project.

Once site work began, Primus discovered that the available well water would not provide sufficient fire protection for the facility expansion. The team worked closely with local municipalities to bring re-use water from nearby water filtration lines to supplement the existing supply. This involved extensive rock removal and the installation of 4,700 linear feet of new pipe.

The 45,000 SF freezer, cooler and dry warehouse expansion features -10°F freezers, 28°F to 55°F coolers and a 40°F dock.
