Primus Named Official U.S. Integrator for Movu Robotics’ 4-Way Shuttle Technology

Atlanta, GA – Primus, a leading provider of design-build-automate solutions, announced a new strategic partnership with Movu Robotics, becoming an official U.S. integrator for Movu’s industry‑leading 4‑way pallet shuttle technology. This partnership marks a significant evolution in Primus’ automation strategy and positions the company at the forefront of next-generation automation solutions.

Movu Robotics, part of the stow Group, is recognized internationally as one of the fastest-growin and most disruptive players in warehouse automation today. Best known for its Movu atlas 4‑way pallet shuttle system, Movu has quickly become an industry leader for high-density, scalable pallet AS/RS across Europe and North America. The technology represents a fundamental shift away from traditional crane-based systems toward modular, shuttle-based automation that delivers higher throughput and unmatched flexibility.

“Becoming an official Movu integrator is a major milestone for Primus,” said Primus President Matt Hirsch. “Movu is redefining what modern pallet automation looks like. Their 4‑way shuttle technology is highly adaptable and exceptionally well-suited for today’s operational realities. This partnership allows us to bring one of the most advanced AS/RS platforms in the world to our customers in a way that is practical and future-ready.”

Why Movu? Why Now?

Movu Robotics has emerged as one of the most influential automation providers in the industry. With nearly 200 Movu atlas systems deployed or underway globally, the solution has moved beyond early adoption and into full commercial maturity.

Unlike conventional pallet AS/RS, Movu’s 4‑way shuttle system enables both horizontal and vertical scalability, allowing facilities to expand storage capacity and throughput incrementally without disrupting operations. The system operates reliably in ambient and cold storage environments including sub-zero temperatures.

“Movu’s success is rooted in modularity and real-world performance,” said Christophe Coulongeat, CEO & U.S. President, Movu. “Primus brings deep integration expertise and a strong reputation for delivering complex automation projects. Together, we’re enabling customers to adopt high-density pallet automation that is flexible and built for long-term operational resilience.”

Expanding Beyond Cold Storage

While 4‑way shuttle systems have traditionally been associated with cold storage, the Movu atlas platform is increasingly deployed in manufacturing, food/beverage, consumer packaged goods and ambient distribution environments. This is because, like cold storage facilities, space optimization, throughput flexibility and labor efficiency are critical.

This makes the solution particularly attractive for manufacturers and distributors seeking automation that can evolve alongside changing production volumes and business demands.

A Strategic Evolution (Not a Narrow Focus)

As part of this partnership, Primus will transition from an equipment-agnostic approach in pallet automation to actively offering Movu’s 4‑way shuttle technology as a core solution.

Primus will continue to deliver a full range of material handling and automation technologies, (traditional crane AS/RS systems, de-slatting, conveyors, sortation, pallet handling, warehouse controls and more. The addition of Movu enhances Primus’ ability to deliver best-fit solutions across a wider range of use cases.

“Our role has always been to bring the right technology to the right challenge,” Hirsch added. “Movu gives us a best-in-class pallet automation platform that complements our broader portfolio and allows us to solve more complex challenges for more customers.”
