Primus Design Services, LLC (PDS) is pleased to announce it is expanding its design studio to include in-house mechanical engineering services. PDS currently provides architecture and structural engineering to a wide-range of clients in the cold storage, food processing and medical device sterilization industries.
This division will be headed up by Tim Taylor, PE, MBA, LEED AP. Tim brings more than 30 years of design experience providing implementation planning, scheduling, estimating, cost control and client reporting in the light industrial, process and commercial development sectors. Tim will serve as a bridge between design and construction,adding an additional level of technical expertise that will provide more concise design deliverables.
Tim has worked extensively with design and construction professionals his entire career. “I speak both languages,” he said. “I’m able to help each side understand the significance of the others’ required actions, which results in better coordinated, more succinct documents.” He is also a LEED Accredited Professional with considerable sustainable design experience who can broaden PDS’s reach to clients seeking LEED certification.
Tim earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and his Master of Business Administration (majoring in Risk Management & Insurance) from Georgia State University. His career is centered on roles of increasing responsibility at major engineering firms in the Atlanta area including AHA Consulting Engineers, KBD Group USA, Jordan & Skala Engineers, Facility Engineers and Rosser Fabrap International. He has provided mechanical engineering services for clients including Toyo Tire North America, Toshiba America, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Sara Lee State Fair, Guinness UDV, Blommer Chocolate, Con Agra and Perdue Farms, among others.
