Lineage Logistics

Lineage Logistics had ambitious throughput goals for this 97,000 SF, 96’ tall, -10° freezer addition. To achieve them, Primus Solutions Group worked closely with their team, studying their existing data to determine the best automation solution. Below is an overview of the design that has maximized the space.

• Product enters the facility, is picked up by a fork lift operator and put on the conveyor. 
• As the product moves down on the conveyor, it passes through the Lineage Eye. All bar codes are scanned and a 3D image is taken and indexed. This gives Lineage a footprint of all products. 
• Pallets the move forward into the freezer where vertical lifts and a high density shuttle system move product to its assigned space.   

This system moves product eight times faster than a conventional cold storage warehouse.
