Sysco Food Services’ College Park facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When they needed a firm to design and manage the logistics of their expansion and renovation, they chose Primus Builders.
The scope of work for the 52,000 SF project included reconfiguration of maintenance/support space, new receiving dock offices, new underpinned dock positions (providing 1,500 SF additional dock space), new employee welfare areas, a 17,000 SF variable temp cooler expansion and a new refrigeration system for the entire facility. This new system included a new engine room and a complete ammonia refrigeration overhaul.
The second renovation project included a new storm water plan including an underground retention pond; demolition of an existing facility and conversion of that space to a vehicle maintenance facility; a new cold dock; freezer expansion and new paving.
